Added Care matched a live-in carer for my 94 year old mother, Cynthia, I realised I had finally found someone who met all the expectations I had. My mother still has her independence and is encouraged to continue her daily life to the best of her abilities, without being made to feel inadequate. Equally important in my choice of carer was to have someone who could be a companion, who would stimulate my mother to keep her mind active, as it has always been – playing cards, board games, doing jigsaw puzzles or just sitting to watch tv with her. Added Care matched a carer who was excellent at keeping my mother occupied in this way as well as talking about past memories and her current family, encouraging her to remain socially active. Added Care has introduced us to a long-term carer and it is clear that they are both of the same mould! Our new lady is now my mother’s best friend, caring, enabling and always cheerful. When I initially made contact with Added Care I was desperate. We were struggling to find a suitable carer for my mother and needed someone at very short notice. Jo from Added Care gave me hours of her time on the phone as I poured my heart out to her.
